One thing that I have realized as
a growing Christian, is that in this walk of life, there will always
be change. Ecclesiastes
3:1 Says: "To everything
there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:" God
shows us in this entire chapter about His Purpose shall endure through
all change.
Change is not always pleasant to go through,
but it is intended to help us grow in Christ. It is sad that it usually
takes change for us to realize that we cannot do anything without
God. Even worse that we whine, complain and ask God, "Why me
Lord? What have I done to Deserve this?"
During this time is when I am reminded of the blind man in the bible.
A story that I remember hearing as a child, but never really took
the story for its entirety. When the disciples came across him begging
at the rich mans gate the first question they ask was, "What
has this man or his family done to put him in this shape?" The
man had done nothing. He was born this way. But God used this man
and his suffering for His glory!
I realize that like the disciples, we are asking the wrong
questions. Instead of, "why me Lord?" We should be praying, "Lord
use this suffering for Your uplifting and glorification.
My friend, When there is nothing left but God, that's when
you find that God is all you need.
